The Government Assembly approved the call for tenders to perform the restoration and refurbishment works to be carried out at the walls of the Baludard del Príncep on the Passeig Ronda amounting to 246,709 euros. This measure takes place prior to the award of works for this refurbishment stage, known as stage "C" of the Baluard del Príncep refurbishment project, that envisages the restoration of the 1,970 square metres of the Baluard del Príncep facing towards Avinguda Gabriel Roca. Once these works have been awarded, the existing vegetation and facilities will be removed in a couple of months and all the blocks of stone that are in a state of deterioration will be restored and/or replaced. Hence, the works conducted throughout the first stage of restoration of the Baluard del Príncep will be resumed, that consisted in the restoration of the wall paintings facing towards Avinguda Gabriel Alomar i Villalonga and that have already been accomplished.

The restoration works carried out in this area of Palma are a key factor for the creation of the Sea Corridor. The next stage envisages the conditioning of 5,335 square metres making up the upper bastion.
